Thomas Christian Snyder (7 October 1895 - 30 September 1918) was killed in action while serving with Company L, 316th infantry regiment, 79th infantry division, near Nantillois, France.

19 September 1917, reported to Camp Meade, Maryland
7 July 1918, sailed to France
September 1918, the 79th infantry division, participated in the assault on Montfaucon during the Meuse-Argonne offensive. Private Snyder served in the same infantry division as Private Kern, who died about six weeks later during the same offensive.
Private Snyder was originally buried near Nantillois, France before being moved to the Meuse-Argonne American Cemetery, France. Later, he was re-interred in the Slatedale Cemetery, Slatedale, Pennsylvania.
