SITE OWNERSHIP

Remember
  • You are responsible for the materials that appear over/under your name on the web.
  • It is your responsibility to understand the form that those web materials take on the web.
  • If you choose to use a semi-automated course management system (CMS), such as Blackboard, to develop web-based materials, then you should understand how your specific CMS works and how your materials got into that CMS and then onto the web.
  • You are certainly capable enough to get your work onto the web some basic form before you ask for advanced help.  My point is that if you do not understand some principles of web design and how the web works, then you will never be able to fully maximize the learning potential of your materials (Your tech support will not really know exactly what you are trying to achieve.); you will never really appreciate the unique capabilities of the web with respect to your specific materials.
