Remember
- Use sans-serif fonts (Arial, Verdana, Helvetica) to
display text on the web. Serif fonts can sometimes make text
hard to read on a computer screen.
- Size your font properly for the page.
- Do not use too many different fonts on a website, and
generally do not mix different fonts on an individual page.
- Make sure that the font you choose
will display properly
in different browsers (Internet Explorer, Mozilla, Firefox, AOL); do not use a
proprietary font.
Consider an example
- Diane Thompson's
Troy site uses an Arial font, but she also varies font size in the different
sections of the web page.
