HIS 111 Confucius Paper Assignment
I would never have believed that Confucius' grave survived to the present, but here it is in Qufu in Shandong Province--although no one is exactly sure that he is really buried there. The standing stone in the center dates to the fifteenth century and is inscribed: "Grave of the Sacred King of Culture, who achieved Absolute Perfection." Photo credit adam lane. |
