Aurora Borealis Plainly Visible
The people of Slatington were given a splendid opportunity to view the Aurora Borealis on Monday night. The northern lights, as they are commonly known, shown with a splendor seldom witnessed in this part of the country. The attending electrical disturbances played havoc with the telegraph wires throughout the country.

The school board voted to rename the Third Ward building the Roosevelt Building, and the rebuilt building was named the Lincoln Building.
