Sporting Association Recently Organized

The Slatington Skeet and Sporting Association with shooting grounds along the Welshtown road, north of town, was recently organized and is open for members. The officers are: Earnest Steckel, President; Edwin Evans, Secretary; Erwin L. Kern, Treasurer.

Valley Green Inn Made Formal Opening

Valley Green Inn is the name of the new beautiful tea room opened by Elizabeth Haines on the state highway leading from town to Lehigh Gap. The stone house which Miss Haines has transformed into a veritable paradise was built in 1817. The tea room is attractively decorated, the color scheme being a delicate shade of green.
